Dr. Vandra L. Huber has been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for more than 35 years.Under the Kennel name of McVan®, she and her husband Michael Krolewski operate a a small boutique kennel dedicated to the preservation of Scottish Terrier in form and function. With her husband Michael Krolewski, she has  bred nearly 150 American champions and 50 Canadian champions. Her Scottish Terriers have garnered 11 national specialty honors in the USA including the 2017 National Specialty at Montgomery County. McVan Scotties have gone Best in Show at three of the most prestigious dog shows in world, namely Crufts, the Westminster Kennel Club and Euro-Asia National Show in Russia and 2018 Benelux World Show. She has had top ranking Scottish Terriers also in Canada, Australia, Israel, Italy, Thailand and Singapore.

Dr. Huber also has owned and bred several other terrier breeds including smooth and wire fox terriers, border terriers, cairn terrier, miniature schnauzer (in the terrier group in the USA), as well as owned an affenpincher, bearded collies, wire-haired dachshunds and a miniature poodle. She is an American Kennel Club breeder of merit and a Scottish Terrier Club of America breed mentor. She is a frequent speaker on Scottish Terrier history and conformation as well as presents seminars to judging groups or exhibitor groups on the decision-making process. She is the founder of STCA's Top 20 Showcase and a frequent writer on canine health, reproduction and breed issues.

Dr. Huber is licensed by the American Kennel Club to judge all terriers and toys, all poodles, miniature schnauzers, and numerous herding breeds including Aussies, Australian Cattle Dogs, Bearded Collies, Bouviers, Collies, Shelties, Old English, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, and Old English Sheepdogs. She has judged Scottish Terrier national specialties in Japan, Germany and the USA and terrier group shows in Australia, Sweden, Denmark and the USA. Internationally, she also has judged in Australia, China, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, and Thailand. Vandra is passionate about the sport of purebred dogs and enjoys traveling internationally to judge.

After a 35 year career in academics, Dr. Huber is now an emeritus professor of Human Resources and Management at the Foster Business School at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. She is the author of several textbooks and more than 50 academic articles. An avid world traveler, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Thailand and has been a Visiting Professor at Korea University.  She also led student study groups to India, South Africa, and Peru and worked on a humanitarian project in Uganda.
