I was a breeder/owner/handler of Bowyre Wire Fox Terriers for over forty years. I started in 1959 with my first Wire winning BIS.  Bowyre Kennels bred fifty-one Champions, many of them BIS, Group and Top Ten dogs and a Dam of Distinction.  We also imported and finished a number of WFT's from England.  I had an all breed handlers license and with my wife showed clients dogs, mostly coated Terriers and other breeds in from other Groups.

I have severed as show chair and Board member of our local kennel club and The American Fox Terrier Club.

I have been honored to judge Wires at Montgomery Co., The Wire Fox Terrier Club of Central States, The Fox Terrier of England and most recently The Wire Association of England.  I have judged in Britain, Canada, Ireland, England, Korea, China and Australia.
