My love of dogs started early in life, growing up with a grandfather who raised and trained bird dogs, and a grandmother who raised Standard Dachshunds. At the age of fourteen I saved and purchased my first Cocker Spaniel. Wanting to learn about the breed I started working as an assistant and kennel help for then professional handler Kyle Robinson, and mentoring under the late Charles Cobb and John Gymer two long time breeders and A.K.C. Judges. My love for dogs and dog shows continued to grow, and I became active with several local breed and all breed clubs.
Over the years my wife Laura and I have shared our home and hearts with numerous breeds, but focused our attention and operated a very small family breeding program of both French Bull Dogs and Italian Greyhounds under the Warwick Kennel name. Our family remains proud of both the dogs we bred, owned, co-owned, and finished over the years, but most of all we cherish the great friendships made along the way.
Following four major spine surgeries I was forced to look at what my future in dogs would be. I made the tough decision to stop our breeding program and work towards becoming an A.K.C. approved judge. Once again with the help of many wonderful mentors, and friends in the dog world that goal became a reality this year. Currently I am approved to judge French Bull Dogs, Italian Greyhounds, and All Breed Juniors. My goals are to continue working and learning to add additional breeds in the Non-Sporting , Toy and Sporting Groups.
I truly love judging and the opportunities it provides me to stay connected to life long friends, meet new friends , and remain active in our sport.
Professionally I am the Founder, and Partner of Friends & Family Cremation and Memorial Center a state of the art crematory serving both veterinarians and pet owners in Kentucky and Indiana.
In addition to serving as Vice President of the FBDCA I am currently the President of the Louisville Kennel Club, Cluster Coordinator for the Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows, member of the Italian Greyhound Club of America, Ohio Valley Yorkshire Terrier Club and a founding member and current President of The Ohio Valley French Bulldog Club.
